At ETSII-UPM, we are open to receiving students for research stays, Erasmus+ Traineeships, and mobility student internships. The student must have prior acceptance from a professor at ETSII-UPM before starting this process. It is not necessary for the student’s home institution to have an international agreement with ETSII-UPM.
Below are the steps to register and enroll the student at ETSII-UPM:
Step 1: The professor must express their willingness and acceptance to host a student for a Research Stay/Mobility Internship by contacting incoming.industriales@upm.es. The International Relations Office (Incoming) will reply as soon as possible with the credentials needed to access the nomination portal.
Step 2: The professor can access the ONLINE APPLICATION PORTAL (Coordinators) to submit a nomination request for international students. If the student’s home institution is not listed in the system, please contact incoming.industriales@upm.es.
Step 3: The International Relations Office (Incoming) will review the professor’s request and proceed with the student’s nomination.
Step 4: The student will receive credentials (username and password) to access the ONLINE APPLICATION PORTAL (Students), where they can complete their application. The online application includes:
- Registration Form
- Document Upload
- Learning Agreement (if required)
The required documents are as follows:
- Official Transcript of Records or proof of active PhD studies
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Passport
- Travel Insurance (mandatory)
- Passport-size photo (maximum 20KB)
Step 5: The International Relations Office (Incoming) will review the student’s application and, if approved, proceed with the validation of the process. The student will be registered as an ETSII-UPM student and will receive instructions to obtain their UPM credentials.
IMPORTANT
All students, irrespective of their country of origin, are required to take out insurance especially designed for international mobility students to cover risks not covered by the EHIC like rescue and repatriation. The UPM has an agreement with the On-Campus insurance company, for which international students are eligible. This policy includes accident insurance, travel insurance, private liability, etc. Further information: https://oncampus.es/en/seguros/oncampus-estudia/
