This seminar will describe a range of studies from the Drone Technology Research Group focused on developing multirotor UAV airframes and flight controllers. This work, conducted over the recent past, addresses the challenges posed by wind disturbance and physical interaction. Key topics to be covered include the design of fully-actuated configurations, navigation, rotor aerodynamics, and model-based control.
