After completing my engineering studies in networks and telecommunications at Antonine University in Lebanon in parallel with a master 2 in mobile and distributed computing at the University of Franche Comté in France in 2015, I carried out my thesis in the field of Wireless Sensor Networks and Smart Grids within the HEI engineering school and Inria in Lille, France.

I obtained my PhD in October 2018. Since 2019, I am an associate professor in computer science at Junia and supervisor/coordinator of the IoT domain (master year 1 and 2). My research interests focus on: IoT, Smart Grids, Wireless Sensor Networks, Edge Computing, Routing Protocols and Data Reduction.

Resumen: The Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept that involves connecting objects in the physical world to the Internet to collect and exchange data. This opens the door to new innovative applications and services in various fields, such as Healthcare, Smart Home, Smart City, Smart Grids, etc. IoT is becoming then a key factor in digital transformation and business innovation. It provides increased intelligence and automation across a variety of industries, improving quality of life and operational efficiency.

This conference aims to provide an introduction to IoT. It covers various topics, including IoT architecture, applications, and challenges.
